How to maintain the tire valve mouth, and how often to replace?

22 Dec 2020

Because the valve nozzle material is mostly made of rubber products, there is the problem of aging. If only to change the tire, and ignore the valve replacement cycle, valve mouth is likely to aging ahead of time, increasing driving hazards.

Because the valve is made of rubber, it will inevitably crack, deform and lose its elasticity.

When the vehicle is running in daily life, the rubber valve will swing back and forth with centrifugal force, which will undoubtedly accelerate the aging of the valve.

And this kind of rubber valve valve life is generally three to five years, the life of a tire is similar, so when changing a tire, remember to change with the valve.

In view of the aging situation of rubber valve, metal valve mouth is gradually introduced in the market and appears in the sight of consumers. Due to the change of material, the price of metal valve mouth is much more expensive than rubber valve mouth.

But it lasts two or three times as long as the rubber valve.Mainly because metal is not so easy to oxidize, and metal valves have better air tightness.

After the purchase of the valve, in order to be able to correctly identify the quality of the product, we can first draw a basin of water, let the valve nozzle into the water, if this time, if the valve nozzle bubble, it means that the quality of the valve nozzle is not qualified.

If, on the other hand, there is no bubble, then the valve mouth is compliant. When the valve nozzle leak is found, it should be timely maintenance or replacement of new parts, not strong twist, to prevent the valve core is broken.

Before inflating the tire, it is best to blow the dust around the valve nozzle and valve core with an air gun to prevent dust from entering the inner tube.

At the same time, the valve cap is also very important, its role is to isolate the air, prevent dust, water, oil and other damage to the valve core sealing rubber, extend the valve core service life.

It is best to check valve nozzles and valve caps regularly to maintain air seal, extend tyre life and maintain correct tyre pressure.
